VBScript code for date

I am not getting the rt kind of code for the following :
Accept any date in the msg box & display day for that date
Pls can anyone help me with the code.

Actually i ddnt knw where to post this ques ,in ASP or Javascript
Yes i am talking about webpage .I am solving some university assignments in VBscript .
The ques goes by :Use a msgbox where in input the date of users choice display the day .
I got the code for system date display but how to do for any date. .

I've had problems figuring out where to post VBScript questions, too, but you won't get answers on this forum. Try VB.Net.
