An image full immersion into the text

Hi at all,
how is it possible to insert (Fuyll immersion) an image into a text so that
the text is all around the image using CSS2+?

your link refer to a FLOAT property that have as value left and right that
cannot define a FULL IMMERSION into the text.
Infact a floating image is positioned at the left or the right of the text
..
I want that the text is all around the image with the image centered.

Not properly possible at the moment.

It's possible to create something like it using a 2 column layout, a
spliced up image coded as background images and floats, but it's
convoluted, don't bother.

So? Be creative. Put two columns along side of eachother. Split your image
in two. Float the two halves together again, presto. One centered image
with text flowing around it on both sides.
