    html output for usernet threads

I'm wondering if there is any scripts out there for
webifying usernet threads such as google does when you
read their groups. I've noticed in a number of usenet
groups that I frequent a ton of good threads that aren't
quite right for a FAQ but would be darn good to have
stored somewhere. Call them GTs for Good Threads.

Basically what I'm looking for is scripts (perl?) that
could be used to create a top page something like:

    - Good Thread #1
    - Good Thread #2
    etc.

which when clicked on would bring you to the thread
    such as:

    Good Thread #1
    |- posting #1
    |- posting #2
    | |- posting #4
    |- posting #3

I'm pretty good at perl and could write it but I thought
why re-invent the wheel. I've done some searching but
nothing quite fits yet, thought I'd ask...

Am I in the wrong newsgroup for this question?

    Thanks,
    Don

    "Usenet". No "r".

But it did begin as "User network", so it's not entirely unreasonable.

        Typo.

I haven't used it, and don't know what's involved, but
I believe you can use Mailman to 'transfer' newsgroup
postings to a Mailman list. That would probably
transfer all threads, so you'd have to delete the
          threads you don't want archived.

I finally decided to write it myself in perl. If it's
any good perhaps you will see it around.

This might be worth a look
