    Search engines?

    Hi,
I have submitted my site to many search engines, However, some don't work,
and others came back with a rejection email saying couldn't find description
and title. I typed in the title and description in the required fields.
Does the page need some kind of meta tags for search engines?
Also if anyone has any tips on submitting to search engines?
    Thanks for your time,
    Mike Pratz

    Re: Search engines?

    What is the URL?

The key is to makes sure you have valid HTML, that your content is
relevant, and that you use page titles and headings appropriately. If you
can get other (listed) sites to link to you, you will be crawled and indexed
    in no time at all.

There are no tricks. In fact, many tricks may get you blacklisted.

I have just developed a new site. By the time I'd got the site up and
working how I wanted, I found I was getting listed by all the big engines
already. They had crawled me periodically during the development...

The key point is, if you have something worth offering, you will be found...
and eventually you will be indexed.

Ignore all the multi-submission services and the other snake-oil merchants.
