    form elements IE

If you put a absolutely positioned div over a form element, the form
element will appear to be on top in IE.

That's an old issue, as all browsers used to do that.

Is there a way to fix that in IE6? Does this issue persist in IE7.

Of course I looked. But not with those keywords.

Eventually I found the iframe and another hack and that IE7 has the
same problem. And I found a lot of chaff.

I just used the same phrase you used in your post. :-\

There's always going to be chaff. That's life.
