Web site items missing in non IE browsers

Hi all
I am VERY much a beginner with web site design and publishing and have a small site which I hope in non tech speak you can help me with?

My site is produced in MS FrontPage and is on a server that supports FrontPage extensions (which I pay an extra fee for).

There is a problem in that the site works well when viewed in IE6 or IE7 but if another browser is used e.g. Firefox, some pages have parts missing or not laid out as written in FP. Also the Contact Me page when used with any browser other than IE does not send the entered reply to my web sever which is then forwarded onto my private email address, but instead opens a new email message with my private email address clearly visible.

Sorry that seems a lot to say for a first posting!

So any ideas please?

This is a HTML/CSS question and should be asked in that forum.

FrontPage is the worst automatic code generator in the world. So bad, Microsoft dropped it. It would be better if you downloaded and installed HTML-Kit which is very good, I am told, and it's free.

non-IE browsers should be your first step in testing pages. All versions of IE are 10 years behind web standards and poorly implemented. Testing in non-IE browsers helps you make sure your markup is written correctly and appears as you wish. But the bugs and quirks of IE are known, as are the fixes.

Without a link to the page or the complete markup, any help we give would be guesses only.

No web developer worth their salt is a fan of IE.
