    overflow:auto strange border in firefox

    I have made a site that uses overflow:auto for a scrolling are this works fine in ie but when looked at in firfos there is a line at the bottom and left of the area that looks like a border can anyone help, i have tried setting a border size to 0

    Validate for your 39 html errors and one css error that need correcting first.

      I have corrected all errors except the ones relating to the flash media, not sure on what to do to correct these yet but could someone help with original problem thanks

        Did you use Dreamweaver to do this? It's very difficult to follow what is going on. The issue will be related to IEs improper handling of margins/padding. Yes, it works in IE but IE is a bug. Never use IE as a reference. Dreamweaver does this and frequently creates incorrect markup.

        I have limited internet connectivity today and had trouble viewing your CSS; probably due to the javascript. I'm essentially down right now.

          Yes dreamweaver was used for this but i coded the overflow by hand with inline css

            See if adding 'margin:0' to .backgroundwhit e fixes it.

              did not work it seems as if the overflow:auto area is offset to the right if you look at the page
