    Z-Index issue

Hi everyone, first time poster, long time CSS user. I'm making myself a MySpace page to make some extra cash and I thought I'd make it look interesting. Since MySpace doesn't allow you to delete the ad on top, I thought I'd make it a little unique by placing a gif over it. It's transparent so you can still see the ad underneath but the problem is that now that the transparent div is blocking access to the ad and search bar underneath. They've become completely useless although you can still see them. Is there a way to really make a div transparent so that I can click what's underneath?

No, but why put a gif over it if you can still see it and need access?
Check the myspace article under Articles above for links.

That article is way to generic for my specific question. Anyway thanks for the answer. I was hoping there was a way... since it is somewhat unique for a myspace page.

Some of the ads are adsense types and are hideous. The skyline almost looks like it should be there. I thought of putting a title banner there as well. I guess i'll just move here. Here's the link My Myspace Page

I didn't mean the article, per se, but the links listed there.
