image display whacky in ff on 15" monitor???

Hello folks....my first time posting here, hope the response times are
    quick ;)
I have a new layout I'm working on here, trying to move away from the
whole tabled layout from a previous design and using divs, having an
issue with images on a page. They display just fine in IE and FF on my
development box from home, but now that I'm in my office at work on
this ummmm how shall we say, less than adequate for a designer, 15"
monitor, 3 images I have on this page:
http://medicine.med.unc.edu/NewLayout/index.htm end up at the bottom
of the page in FF and Opera. Resolution on this monitor is set to
1024x768, on my 19" at home everything displays fine in all browsers
from 800x600 and up. Can someone take a look and let me know what
    displays on your end please?

    TIA Bob

Get rid of the absolute positioning. It is the wrong tool for the job.
      Float the images left instead.

Try zooming text up a notch or 3 and see how the positioning adapts.
      Or not.

No, I don't think all is well now.

One should presume that a school of medicine who are "leaders in the art of
medicine and science" would be aware of the fact that many people have crook
eyesight and simply cannot read text that is nine pixels high. Said school
*must* be aware that such people *will* crank up the font size, resulting
          in:
