I've been designing for a while, and i'm ready to leave table based designing behind and go into XHTML/CSS, but I'm having some issues, particularly with the margins.
This is the design i'm working on
The basic problems i'm having are in the <nav> tag. How do I get the top margin to work? It won't work on the <footer> tag either. In IE, the right margin doesn't work, but in firefox it does. Also, how do I apply styles for <a> tags within the <footer> and <nav> tags so they don't do the default?
