    Please Help

    Hi

I'm looking for the HTML tag or command that will allow me to lock the
language bar so that users will not be able to write in any other
languge except english in a certain text-box (or whatever...).

    Thanks - Oren

    Control freak.

You could try using the old IE attribute ACCEPTCHARSET=" iso-8859-1" in your
form elements. Most browsers will ignore it.

Oops, not form elements. I meant <FORM> tags.

Visit <http://tinyurl.com/6zltx> if you can be bothered

You are looking for a nine-armed octopus. It does not exist.

What in the world would make you think that an HTML page would be
*permitted* to have the power to reconfigure someone's computer?

HTML has no commands. It is a markup, not programming, language.

            What's a "language bar"?

You can't force the user to write in English. Well, unless you stand
behind them while they use your site and make threats, but that'll
            likely land you in jail.

What, you're going to check each word after they type it to make sure
it's in an English dictionary? What if they just can't spell?

Nice trolling. You seem to have caught some fish. Bon appetit.

Oh, seriously, here's the helpful answer: you need
                <force with="US army" lang="en-US">

Just ignore the liberal wheenies who say it "can't be done" or
"shouldn't be done". They just don't know how to!

What about grammar? That should be checked too. I wish I thought of this.

And don't tell me there is a problem with including a Javascript grammar
engine with every page. That is a must. And there needs to be a little
paperclip, which, when you start to fill out the field, says, "You appear
to be typing in English! Do need help? Do you want to know the square
                    root of 2989441?"
