    Heya, Radhika. Welcome to TSDN!

I went ahead and split your post into its own thread to make it easier for our Experts to find.

I'm going to go ahead and move this thread to the Misc. Questions forum, where our resident Experts will be better able to help you out.

the answer is yes and no. If you setup your email client to receive your emails from the server what it does it removes them from the server and puts them in your inbox, so the email(s) are already deleted from the server and the only copies are in your inbox. But if you set up your client (can be done in outlook) to leave a copy of the email on the server, it will leave a copy on the server and in your inbox; that way when you delete from your inbox there still is a copy on the server.

I think it would also depend on your mail server. I maintain a server that keeps a copy of ALL incoming and outgoing mail.

So even if you can not get it, the admin probably can!

It depends on your server settings.
contact your system admin for more details on the same.
