The request failed with HTTP status 401: Access Denied.

Dear friends,
say i have 2 machines called (abc, xyz respectively) and 1 server, there is a DataBase and Report Server on that server and my website is on the abc machine.
The website accesses the report of report server using report viewer.
when i m running that website on abc machine itself.
it works fine.
i have created the virtual directory for that website so ican access in the LAN.

But when i m running the website from xyz machine it gives me error as follows

"The request failed with HTTP status 401: Access Denied."

can u Pls help me out.

are you using IIS or apache?

and check your access settings, make sure the directory holding all your files isn't restricted.
