Compile Apache 2.0.59 with PHP 4.4.5???

Does anyone knows if there's a need to compile my installed Apache 2.0.59 if I'll gonna install PHP4.4.5? I am a complete neophyte in PHP and Apache.

If you have your Apache working then you don't need to compile it (whatever that means). I suggest you get PHP 5 though.
