Hi everyone! I would like to confirm if there's a need to recompile my Apache if I install Perl. I just used below configuration during my Apache compilation.
./configure --prefix=/usr/local/apache CFLAGS="-O3"
How to install Apache with Perl?
Please help. I'm confused.

Degrade version of DBI modules?
Hi all! I install/compile DBI-1.58 on my solaris box and it was successfully installed but this one is only temporary, I only tried. I execute "perl Makefile.PL", make and so on... My concern is I need to degrade the version to 1.13 as one of the system required it.
How to do this? Please help. What's the proper way of removing previously installed DBI modules? One more thing, I don't have the ability to use CPAN to install... -

Hi there! I got this error during my DBI installation from source code. Execution of "perl Makefile.PL" was okay. But after I execute "make" this error appeared on the last part.

Perl Version Upgrade from Perl 5.6.1 to Perl 5.8.8
Hi yah!
Currently, my system has built-in Perl(5.6.1). Actually, there's another version Perl 5.0 when I checked.. Now, I want to upgrade my Perl to Perl 5.8.8.
Do I need to remove the previous version before installing Perl 5.8.8? I'm planning to install from source.
My box uses Solaris 9.

Hi Everyone!
I have my Solaris 2.9 box (server) and have installed Apache 2.0.59, PHP4 and Perl 5.8.8. I'm also using Oracle 8.0.5.
My dilemma is since I'm first time in Perl, I don't know where to get and how to install Perl modules since I'll be using Perl 5.8.8?
One more thing, I need DBI modules for Perl? How to get and install it also?
