Before we start on this odyssey - You shouldn't be doing that in a properly designed cascade.
    home > topics > microsoft access / vba > insights > cascading combo/list boxes

You provide no insight in to the design of your database nor to how these cboxs supposedly relate to each other in a "cascade"

Think about it for a moment.....

    take for example:
table1 is 1:M with table2 which is 1:m with table3 which might be M:M with table4 which is m:1 with table5 in each of these say there are dozens or hundreds of relationships.. ...

what you are asking is to tell you which specific records in table1, table2, table3, and table4 would have been selected to get to the record of interest in table5... we might be able to go from table5 thru table4 to table three if you setup table4 to prevent duplicate pairings between table3 and table5's keys; however, the likelihood for going back from table3 back to table2 to table1 decreases each time and exponentially so as the number of records increase!
