Access 2007 locking file

Good morning.

Access 2007 creates a locking file when a project is opened by users. what info is in the file and how do I read it?

Why would you like to read this file?

I was wondering if it contained info about what user is on the program. If I needed to do some mods or updates, I could call that person to ask them to get out of the program. A user log would be better which I've been experimenting around with but haven't figured it out yet.
