Creating appointments(Outlook/ Access) - deleting organiser entry only

    Hi,
Following the introduction of an appointment booking system in Access I've now given myself another issue.
As I'm sending lots of appointments out I'm also then getting lots of the same appointments in my calendar as the organiser.

    My question is:
Is there anyway to prevent the organiser entry being logged?

I have switched off the 'ResponseReques ted' option so I don't get bomb barded with replies.
    Any ideas?

    Thanks

I'm guessing this isn't possible as even when you remove the Organizer from the Scheduling screen when creating a meeting/ appointment, it still gets added to your own calendar!!

Looks like we'll have to live with it! Oh well.

Well, this is probably because as the organizer, you need the ability to cancel and reschedule meetings.

You could probably write a script to delete but not cancel the meeting from your own calendar.

          Thanks for the info.
I have tried to build something, with a little help from useable code located on this very forum! What a helpful bunch.
Unfortunately, the developer who built the appointment system forgot to populate the appt Id from Outlook so locating the appointment and deleting it using this Id is not possible.
I have tried to use the creation time of the appointment, but using this method I was able to delete all future appointments from my calendar! WOW, I don't look busy at all now! D'oh!

          A great site, thanks again.

            Not a problem, good luck.
Why not use date/time of appointment and subject line to delete the appointment.
