    Installer softwear

I have just completed my first full database which my company wishes to use. I would like to know if you can suggest a good but EASY to understand installer for the database so i can present this database on a proper CD. Free would be good but happy to pay a nominal fee for the right installer.

    Thanks

I know there is a Access Developers Toolkit, this is a separate software that will do a complete package of your DB. I don't know how much it is, or where to get it.

If you find something I would love to hear about it! as I am getting close and will need to package my small DB.

Depends on how you have created your DB. If you have created an MDB file you cannot make it standalone and distribute it on CD. The best you can hope for is to create an MDE file secure it and network it. You have to create you db using the developer edition.

        Hi Tanis
Not overerly sure what you mean as fairly new to access but would appreciate your explination. As far as im aware my DB is saved as MDE so what choices do i have? The reason for burning to CD is so the engineers can also get a copy of the system. Thought this would be the easier part lol

        Regards

Look on the web for pack and go packages for access. These will allow you to present your databases without dependency on Access.

Otherwise, if you have created an mde version of your database you should be able to just burn it to CD with a copy and paste. Access databases don't need an installer if they're going to a platform with access installed.
