    Monitoring Record Alterations

    Good Afternoon.

I have a problem i can't resolve. I maintain a database with approx 12 users. The problem is that records are being altered by some users. As all users require permission for record creation, i cannot determine who is making the alterations, what the original field entry was, and the time and date when the change took place.

Is there a way to monitor the following:

    1. On record creation, the user, time and date of creation.
    2. On alterations, the user, time and date, field and original field value.

Any suggestions or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks!

    Hi,

In fact this thing you have to organize it alone! With the commands in Access you can't retrieve this information!

In Access 2007 I think this kind of tools is provided and the system securty and log are better...

But in Access 2003 you have to organize it!

Directly from your table you can't do it... But from your forms or queries it's possible!

    Have a nice luck!

    :)
