  • Saving attachment location to Access table - filepath code?

    I have some code which saves emails into a database, creates new folders for new senders etc etc but what I now want to do is when a new email comes in, i want any attachments to be saved into a table (by saving the location and then having the ability to go back in and open it from that location)... All I really need is the code which will show the filepath... does anybody know how to do this? Any replies appreciated.

  • Access 2007 to SQL server file upload?!

    I have an Access 2007 database with an attachments facility. Currently the client may upload files locally but the files cannot be accessed elsewhere. I have been able to carry out a similar operation when developing on a web based system however I cannot seem to do it on an Access 2007 database and I am unsure as to whether it is even possible.   • Send email with attachments from Outlook to Access 2007

    Hi - Is it possible to send email attachments to an Access Database. I know that we can collect data using email messages. It would be nice if there was a way to send an email with an attachment and the attachment gets saved in a database. Do you guys have any suggestions/thoughts. Thanks for your help.

  • Upsizing Access 2007 .accdb with Attachments to SQL Server 2008

    I upsized my Asset Template .accdb to SQL Server 2008. Every field except the Attachments works as expected.

    I tried changing the datatype of the Attachments field in the SQL Server table, no types would get the Attachments field to work.

    We don't have the time to spend coding VBA to handle attachments ourselves (possibly with storing the path to the file in the db and making our own upload form).
