      prevent multiple clicks

      this is a .net 2003 c# windows form project.
      there is a menu button called "search"
      it does a lot of stuff and takes some time. i need to prevent the form from allowing the user to click on it multiple times while it is searching.

      i have set the cursor to WaitCursor. i have also set the menu enabled to false. neither seem to work. the form seems to queue the clicks until it is ready to process the next. ...
