I know why the query is getting deleted and maybe I'm totally in the wrong area.
This is where the actual query is updated each time:
Set qdf = dbs.CreateQuery Def("Results", "SELECT [Car Records].FullName, [Car Records].FName,[Car Records].SName, [Car Records].[Section/Faculty], [Car Records].[ID Number], [Car Records].[Vehicle Make], [Car Records].[Vehicle Model], [Car Records].[Vehicle Colour],[Car...

Query result - how to filter by record set
Hi again :)
I have a form that user enters parameters into which then pops up another form with results filtered by the chosen parameter (field in table)
What I'd like to do is order the results from the query it fires by a record set of my choosing. I think I'm on the right track by trying to edit the sql that is passed to the query but it doesn't seem to work.....
Example from form that runs the query... -
Thanks very much - not the news I was hoping for but such is life :)Leave a comment:

Is 'Make an MDE file' buggy or something??
Hi all
I followed this process to make a very simple database into a FE and BE using Access 2003:
Backup db
Use tools>database utils>splitter
Open original file (not the BE)
Check startup options
Use tools>database utils>make mde file
Process runs smoothly, but when I fire up the db FE, one particular form that links to the now shifted tables brings up an 'repair... -
Thanks Mary!
The popup code works great.
The outstanding issue now was if the returned filter records was 1 of 20 then it showed the next record fine, but if it was 1 of 1 then the code failed because the only record had been deleted. I've just made the delete record routine exit the form completely which is working fine with the users.
Thanks again :)

Delete button for continuous form from searching form
Hi there
I have an access form that allows the user to browse records (< and > buttons) sorted by another field within that table (eg, all entries under a staff group, all entries under a student group).
I have added a delete button to the form using code supplied by another user of the forum (thanks to PEB):
...Code:Dim rst As Recordset Set rst = Me.RecordsetClone rst.Delete
No activity results to display
