hey thanks for the reply.
see i made a small application for a practice. It contains around 10 java classes interlinked using menubar and till now i have not created jar. I have just written all the source file in eclipse and everything is running fine. now i want to create an icon on desktop so that when i click it, the class file of first screen say s1 should run just like any other application we do normally....Leave a comment:

Help needed for running Servlet
Hi,
I have installed Tomcat and it is running properly.
Now I am trying to run a servlet application like HelloWorld
Can anybody please tell me what to do to run it using ECLIPSE
if i try to run it in a java project in Eclipse then it does not compile.

i am new to java.Can annybody tell me how to implement confirm box using java.awt package.
i tried by extending dialog class with 2 buttons (buttonSave and buttonDiscard) on dialog box but as ActionEventList ener has void return type i could not implement it.
Can anybody tell me any other method.

i did set that path at textbox "Initial folder" leaving "parameter" textbox empty.but still i am getting same error. also i have checked checkbox "capture output" and allowed "alert sound when done..." and all other checkboxes unchecked.
do i need to mention anything at "regular expression to match output" area????

see what has happened is i had installed JRE much earlier almost a month ago for running some web applications.
and yesterday i just installed java sdk after downloading from sun site.
now, can you tell me what should i do to solve the problem.
actually this is my first java installation..

hi all,
i have installed java SDK on windows OS yesterday.
now i am trying to run a simple program even with just one class and one method i am getting error
java.lang.Unsup portedClassVers ionError: Bad version number in .class file
at java.lang.Class Loader.DefineCl ass1<Native Method>
.....
can anybody tell me why i am getting this error???
and how to solve it??
