I now have a query to return the last known registration or registrations. I cant get it to work on my from though?
Can I use a combo box in any way - every time I try it fails. The only solution so far is by using a command button to open up the query?

Max or first functions in a query?
Ho do I get the max date record only or the first record in date order, 2 pictures one with query adn 2nd with result.
every time I use Max of First it returns a blank record?

Combo Box - display problems
I have a combo box which works well, I enter a surname and it looks up the data from a table. The problem I have is it doesnt show all the possible results unless you click the dropdown, it will only show teh first best result?
Is there anyway of showing the available options without clicking the dropdown?
E.g. Smi only returns the first smith so I would have to click teh dropdown to make sure I'm seleting the right... -
Lookup Query from a combo box...I think?
I am entering data into my form for "entry fields" table. On this form I have a combo box to select an employee.
On my entry fileds table there is a list of enteries showing - registration, employee, date
How can I use the result from the combo box to display the last known "registrati on" from my "Entry fields" table? Do I need to build a query first?

Help with Report?
I have 3 tables
1st is Vehicles= reg make etc
2nd is employees= employee id, name surname etc
3rd is entry logs=registrati on, employee id and date (usually one each 2 weeks)
How can I get a report to show me only the last entry for each employee or same report but for last record for each vehicle? (entrys are not all at same stage or date - e.g employee 1 may not have upadted his log for 3 weeks)

I've also got 500 employees with 1 log sheet for each 2 week period..ish which is why I need a report to show which employees have a missing report and between which dates.

Sorry, the basis for the report is to show if any logs are missing, each employee should have a record for every day of the miles driven.
Logged against employee 003 would be something like the following:
1st entry) 12th April to 17th April, registration is "xx1" miles driven "xx"
2nd entry) 21st April to 27th April, registration is "xx1" miles driven "xx"

Need a report to show gaps between last entry and next entry
I have 3 tables, employees, vehicles,Mileag e.
I enter the mileage done, the start and end dates with a lookup value of one "vehicle" and one "employee", e.g employee id "003" "Jo Bloggs" drove "VK03 XXX" between "4/04/06" and "12/04/06".
next entry for same employee was "17 April" to "20th April".
I need to somehow... -

I've created the query which prompts me for the 2 dates but shows all records not just gaps?
E.g. employee will repeat as many times as there are records but doesnt highlite that there is say a one day gap inbetween record 3 and 4 for that employee?? :confused: :confused: :confused:Leave a comment:

Ho do I create a report that will show each employee and gaps between the employees next record start date and end date?
