Hi All,
i am doing a program where multi users are accessing the same database, each user can select records from the database and process them and have the results, at the same time other users can select other records as well. I would like to know the best approach of how can i save each user selection of records so when he login again he finds his settings saved without reselecting them.

Twin ListView Scrolling

I have two listviews in a windows form one on the right, the other on the left, separated by a splitter and both have related data. So what i need is, if i scrolled the one on the left, the right one scrolls in syncronization, so at any time any line in the left list correspondes to a line at the right list. Thanks for your immediate reply, my problem is i can't direct the search code to go to the next matching text (corresponding to Find Next). Once i got the first match, i need to pause the search, which i don't know how to resume in case of Find next is pressed. it always searches from the beginning and find the same match because i ended the procedure containg the search code.

i am having a win application that i have created myself on VB.net. This application includes a treeview with lots of data, the problem is, i would like the user to call a standard Find dialog box (Ctrl+F) to jump to a specific line in the treeview for ease in searching and selection. My question is, is it possible to call such a dialog box ? i know it is , but HOW ??

I am using the login details to make sure that the number of connected users to my program over the network and to the Oracle database server doesnot exceed 10 at any time and also to prevent duplication in login usernames at the same instance to prevent data conflict. That is why i update the users table in the database with every new log in or out as described. The idea looks good except for the bug in case of program crashs....Leave a comment:

I have a login form in a win application that asks for a user name and a password, which i check versus a table that contains the users information. Once the user is logged in, i need a mechanism to prevent another login with the same username
