    Produce Consecutive Numbers

I am not sure how to explain this so I will try to the best of my ability.

I need to be able to produce 1000 labels from access that are based on consecutive numbers that Access will produce.

Here are some of the criteria they are looking for:
    • Need to be able to produce labels on demand – generating at least 1,000 labels at a time.
    • The program will know what the last number used was so when they print the next

I have changed the code to use:

    DoCmd.RunComman d acCmdSelectReco rd
    DoCmd.RunComman d acCmdCopy
    DoCmd.RunComman d acCmdPasteAppen d

I am having the user test it for a few days and let me know.

Thanks for the thought you both put into this. If this does not work I will try the other code.

    PasteAppend - Clipboard not responding

I have created an Access Front End Database that many people in one of the departments use. Each user has their own copy of the Front End on their Computer. The Back End is on a SQL Server.

On one of the forms I created a Duplicate Record Button using the Wizard in Access. I have ONE user who has trouble using this button.

She uses it to copy records over and over and over. Then she changes just a few pieces of...

    Linked Table Manager Macro

I would like to create a macro or something that I can assign to a button on my form that will refresh the link on the tables. So the users do not have to do this manually.

Can anyone help me with this?

    Ntext limitations??

    Hello,
I am having and issue with an ntext field. It seems to have a limitation on it.
    Here is the history.

I am supporting a database that was created by a prior employee and I am now having some issues.
I have a MS Access front end connected to SQL back end. Connected through ODBC.

The filed is called [Comments] the data type on the SQL table is ntext. The field is located on [Table1]....

replied to System.mdw Error when opening Access
Putting the Front End on the net work is not an option.
I have 80 or so users using this database and only 10 have a problem.
A copy is kept on the network and then they run a bat file to run a copy from their own computer so we don't run into the too many user issue.

    Any other ideas?

    Access 2002
    Windows 2000 Or XP

I have a Access database front end that is stored localy on a users PC. The back end is SQL on a server.

I have about 10 people who get this error occationally when they go into Access:

could't find file 'System.mdw'. This file is required for startup.

I have found that if they open Access with the shortcut to the file is when it happens. So my fix...

    Question on form minimizing

    Hello,
I am not really sure if this is a form issue or not.

I am running Access 2002 with a SQL back end for the database in question.

The forms were original run from queries but are now being run from the tables to make them faster.
Since I have done that the users are complaining of an issue when they minimize and then maximize the form.

Here is a little history to explain the process...
