      Calculating Averages in a *Report* by counting distinct schools

      Hi,
      I have two fields in my report. One of them is school name(the school name appears multiple times). The other field is class test score. How would I go about calculating the test average for each school?(In a report)

      I can calculate the average of all the schools but am having difficulty coding some kind of sort procedure for an average test score of all the classes in each school.
      Does someone know the code for...

            Hi Mary,
            Can you please clarify? I wrote the code but the values in the text box of the subsequent records to not reflect the first value that was entered. Thank you for you help.

              Can someone please give me advice on how to do the following in a form?

              In my form I have a have the user enter a 1 or a 2 in a box for the first record.

              I would like to know how I can make every following record contain the number that the user entered for the first record without having the user enter a 1 or 2 ever again.

                To clear it up a bit more.
                The 'class' report is a subreport containing a percentage value that is displayed in the 'schools' report.

                The 'class' report contains information from the 'class' query.
                The 'school' report contains information from the 'school' query.

                Is there a way i can multiply the output values from the two reports and display them in my report?
