I have those associations set up. They still will not open. In the box that comes up when I click on "open" it says "unknown file type". Is this the real problem? How do I get it to recognize the file type? -
I just noticed a typo in my original posting. It should read "mhtml" not "html" sorry....Leave a comment:

First I get a window that says "unknown file type". The choices are open or save. If I right click the choices are open, save, or save all.
It opens a blank page with a header that says c:/'documents and settings tstillings sometimes it will have the original email message, but never the attachment.

eml/mhtml files
I have Windows XP with outlook express. For some reason I am unable to open eml or html attachments. I HAVE unchecked the "do not open box" in the tools/options/ security tab. Any ideas out there? All help gratefully accepted.
