hi friends
there are specific client of mine and there is a big database which i have to handle it, every time clients want to connect to this specific database it takes long time, this database is a static database it means you dont have to edit or update it by the clients, it is like a dictionary, you type your words/code and you will see some data,
I could not find a way to reduce the time for the clients(due to the big database),...

with dos command of " ipconfig/all>c:\ip.txt " I can retrieve some info and save it in a text file of ip.txt, now I am wondering if there is a way to do the same thing within asp?

I want to check the MAC address of all predefined clients which connecting to my server on web, in this way other user could not connect to my server.
I want to know is there any vbscript/javascript syntax to be run at client side to submit these info to the server side when connecting to the server?
