I have started to create a chat page between an admin and a user.
the bit i am stuck with is getting the textarea to update with whats in the database if it has been updated.
at present i am using meta-refresh but this is not practicle as the user or admin could be typing when the refresh happens and the text they started to type would go!
how do i get the page to check for updates? -

First time posting here so please be gentle!
I wish to check a variable for a number of words that are in a array.
Not sure if this is the best way to do it, but this is what i have.
I have my own counter system that counts every visitor, but some of these visits are from BOTS, spiders..
So i wish to have a method of searching the HTTP_USER_AGENT for certain words i put...
