  • I have been using MS Access for the better part of 28 years. In my experience it is the premier front-end tool for building desktop databases, although I like SQL-Server as a data respository. While Microsoft has added some functionality, the core program has been more than sufficient since the early 1990's. As far as Visual Studio goes, while it is a good overall programming tool, it can't touch the usefulness of any database design tool, much less...
