Try this from Microsoft Word:
File-->Open.
Down at the bottom, choose Files of type: Recover text from any file.
Open the Excel file.
You might at least get your data.
If this does not resolve the issue, you will have to use Excel Repair Kit to try to save the document. As you have no backup, then the other way, I do not see. http://www.excel.repair/

A corrupt excel spreadsheet can be repaired by using Open and Repair technique. It is a built-in repair function that opens a corrupt excel file forcefully.
*Open MS Excel > press Ctrl+O > locate corrupt excel spreadsheet and select it.
*Click on the arrow shown beside Open button > select Open and Repair.
It will take just a few seconds to be completed and selected file will be opened, if possible.Leave a comment:
