Before i ran my emulator i had 14.9 GB free space in my C:/ .. after i closed by emulator space left now is 13.6 GB .
i thought emulator takes temporary memory and releases the memory when emulator is closed

i was using API 20 and it kept showing this problem no matter what i did so i switched to API 19 and it worked fine .Leave a comment:

Emlator shows Android is upgrading
emulator keeps showing this message only ( see pic). its been running for 20 min or more.
