      I was hoping to have both "name" and "ID #" store in my table history.

      Reason:

      My co-workers would be able to reference a record/patient based on their ID# (which is only 5 characters) vs. their full name.

      However, I would like to be able to have their full name view (on forms and/or reports) when the patient is referenced by their ID#.

        How to make both entries in a listbox with 2 columns both save.

        I am creating a database to track and log patient's attendance in various groups. This data will be used to write a quarterly group participation note.


        I have created a listbox using a query, it displays 2 columns (LastName,First Name and ID#). The query is based of my tblPatient.

        I am able to get the listbox to display correctly on my form, however, I am unable to make both entries save in their respective columns...

            Thank you for you help

            I am not quite a beginner, but not an expert either. My Dad was an expert, and my mentor. Unfortunatelly he passed away a couple years ago.

            The goal of the database is to track patient's attendance in various groups. The history data will be used to create a quarterly summary note for each patient.

            The database also prints an attendance list for each group and a list of all quarterly...

              Keeping field the same

              The "Group Name" is the same for patients that attended that group on that day only. The "Group Name" would change for each group attended.

              I am pretty new to Access, but using online help and looking at some of my Dad's old code I have been able to figure quite a few things out.

                I am creating a database to track patient attendance.

                I am entering data using a form.

                The "Group Name" is an item in a listbox. How do I keep the Group Name the same so user does not have to click it for each patient's entry?
