    Hi techguy,

    You have to start with the basics:
    Create a good site.
    Create a sitemap and submit it.
    Crate a robots.txt file to block certain pages from being indexed (user log in or tags / categories pages)
    Utilize Google Webmaster Tools and Google Analytics.
    Make sure you tell Google what URL you are using, such as http://www.site) or (http://site), basically picking if your using the www or not....

      Hello, I own a seo company in Florida. We have been very successful in getting local small business to page 1 of Google Yahoo and Bing. Here is a basic list of to do items that you should do:
      1. Use Wordpress
      2. Install a SEO Plugin
