i read that you cant use an installer with python unless it converts to c++. is this true. if so what do i need to get. please help

im very new to programing, am very eager to learn. im reading books etc. would welcome any advise any1 could offer. im trying my first program. it is a simple one but im having difficulty starting and or not able to find how to write it to begin with. all i want it to do is store ms word documents. search the docs by title to bring up the correct one and the ability to print if i desire. am having trouble. i bought python for dummies yesturday and...
