I agree 100% with everything that chido said above.... -
When storing stuff in your mysql database use NOW() in your SQL statement.
When you retrieve the data, you can use ASP to parse the data and convert to the right format.Leave a comment:

NOt sure what you mean??? You want the images to open in a new window??? Why not use the "a href" tag with target=new and have it open the full size image in the new window in this fashion.Leave a comment:

PHP on Windows Machine
Does anyone know if PHP can be installed and run on a Windows machine? -
Web developpement is also software developpment.
As someone said here, code is code.
However, some people tend to make a difference between the scripting languages (PHP, ASP, TCL/TCK, Perl, etc...) and the programming languages (such as C, C++, C#, Java, etc...) which require to be compiled.Leave a comment:

PHP/MySQL would be my choice for web application. PHP is so easy to use and is more widely used than ASP. One more reason. PHP isn't controlled by Microsoft.Leave a comment:

Well if you spend a day thinking about a for loop, I am not sure that you went to a good school. If you took any good programming class, you should have learn about all the basics of programming, if and else if, for loops, while, etc...
What they can't teach you in school, is how to think efficiently, write good code and problem solving skills. That comes with experience.Leave a comment:
