I am new in MySQL.I installed mysql-5.0.51b-win32 version.How to configure in MySQL server work as local network or remote server.PostgreS QL we did configuration in pghba.conf host all all 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 md5.How we can do settings in MySQL 5.0 server.Please Help me.Advance thanks to all.

thanks for ur relpy.I can't instal Slony-I 1.2.12 on my windows XP laptop showing error Module C:\Program Files\PostgreSQ L\8.1\lib\sleve nt.dll failed to register.HRESUL T-2147023898.Cont act your personal like this.How resolve this error and after instal the Slony-I.How to make the settings for replication can u send brief mail.Pls help me.Advance thanks.

Hi Nilart,
I am siva from china.Before i am also facing this same problem before.In windows vista you want instal as Adminstrator.Af ter Its working fine for me.Here i mention the steps
1. Start/All Programs/Accessories
2. Right-click on Command Prompt
3. Select "Run as Administrator"
4. Click OK on the dialog that appears
5. cd \[The directory where you put the install files]

I think there is no firrewal problem.Because i can connect the system from oustside through remote destop and PCAnwhere software.
I put the setting ip in pg_hba.onfig file like this
host all all 202.153.125.184 255.255.255.0 md5.Pls advice where is the problem.Advance thanks to u
