    Question about VIM settings?

    Hi,

    I am sure we have lot of users who are using VIM for coding Perl. Could you please tell me how to save font and colour settings permanently in VIM.

    I prefer Blue and Courier New font; I’m not sure how to make this change permanent. Every time I close and re-open VIM its back to default settings. Pls help.

    Sorry, forgot to mention that I am using Windows 7.

        What is the best perl editor?

        Hi,

        Please suggest me a best perl editor (freeware). I am new to perl and started learning "Learning Perl" of "Oreilly.

        I would like to start with a good editor as well. Pls suggest. I did a quick google search and found few:
        1. Perl Express
        2. Crimson Editor

          Hi Ron,

          Thank you for the response, I found that line 3 in the script doesnt have a ;.

          I am going try with ; and give it a shot. If it fails then I would try out Apache.

            Hi,

            I am new to Perl trying to setup an environment for learning Perl. Here is what I have done.

            1. I have installed Perl 5.12.2 Build 1202
            2. I have installed Abyss Web server X1(free version)
            3. Followed the instruction to associate Perl with the webserver from this link:
