Good morning to you all.
I have created a database for my company to monitor all of our cases. Within this database i use reports to create standard letters for our housing advisers to send out to clients and contractor.
What i need to do now is to find an easy way to update the name at the bottom of the letters. For example if John Doe sent a letter it would automatically put his name at the bottom but if Jane Doe...

Hi all,
sorry to bother you again but i find im quite stuck in access 2000.
At the moment i have a combo box in which users select the type of works that are being done (Simple works, Complex works or stairlifts).
Further down in my form i have three sections for works progress, one based on each item in the combo box.
What i am aiming to do is have a user select an item from the combo box... -

Open an external folder using access 2000

I have no idea if this is possible and doing a general search on the internet yeilded no results so i thought i would ask here.
In the database i am creating there will be a need to open up a folder stored on the computer to edit a file contained inside. This file is updated on a weekly basis and when this happens a new file is created so it is not practical to use a command that opens directly to the file. Is... -

What i am trying to do is create a database to monitor all our active cases. My company works on a 5 day week (Monday to Friday) and the database needs to reflect that. For example once we have drawn up a schedule of works we send it to the local council for approval and they have 15 days to return it to us with their comments. How to create an expression that uses auto date with isnull
Hi I am fairly new to access and only just beginning to work with creating my own database.
I have three fields, the referral date, the visit date and the joint visit date.
