how to set page size

How can i set page size in asp.net 2008 express edition.
I designed a master page and another page which use this master page. but in the child page content place holder becoming wider and the pictures in the master page goes to more right of the page. this is the case at the designing mode and at running mode which makes web page looking not proffessional.
any one can help me, please......... .....
