  • Go to http://www.adobe.com/
    and install the Adobe Flash Player, and while you are there, install Shockwave player as well, then reboot your PC.
    Your problem has nothing at all to do with Java, but I think it would be a very good idea if you reinstalled it, as most sites use Java.

    How to remove login at windows start up.

    Go to Start
    then Run
    then type ..... control userpasswords2
    then OK
    and in the dialog screen that appears
    select your name and uncheck the box above
    that says .... " user must enter name and password to login "
    then click OK.

    Windows application slow to open.

    Your only option now is to save all your important files, folders, favourites and email addresses if you are using Outlook Express and take the big plunge by formatting your hard drive, then installing all your regular programs, and installing Windows Security Essentials as your antivirus/spyware program.

    That's what I had to do as a last resort, and I am pleased that I did.

    Do a search for " cleanvirus.vbs " on your system and delete it.
    Uninstall the antivirus program that you are using, then reboot the system and then reinstall the antivirus program.
    I suggest you use Windows Security Essentials in place of your current antivirus program. It is a FREE program from MIcrosoft.

    There are a few very good reasons why applications take slow to open, no matter what operating system you use.

    Here are the reasons:
    1. Not enough RAM (512MB isn't sufficient if you are into multitasking)
    Between 1 and 2 GB is what you need in today's world.
    2. The antivirus programs that you use may be using too much
    memory, and checks every application...
