Dear Lysander,
what I thought is that,
1. create a new database on the desk top by selecting DISTINCT CLASS clause from the entire database.
2. This will give me values like class I, class II, class III,... class X and store them in an arrya say: arrClass
3. Now I want to create seperate access.mdb file for each class with the name of the class for each access mdb.
4. Create distinct...Leave a comment:

Dear ADezii,
the database has two tables, two forms and none other.
One form is to input data into existing database
the other is to retrieve data from the existing table on various conditions like top 10, more qualitative student, best in class, best in all classess, top students in each class, their performance per month, quarter, half-year and yearly and the other parameters.Leave a comment:

Hi Moah Scout,
as per my knowledge, reports are not dynamic:
Hence you should have code to place the number of required controls as headers in header section and text boxes in the detailed section so that they are automatically populated. (but at the contents grow, this becomes too illegible to read.
the following link may be of some help:

Hello Ganimex,
your task is simple, if you know how to create a SIMPLE QUERY.
If you know, then as a first step:
Create the said PREPAY, MONTHLY, SPOTWORK Queries.
as second step:
place a combo/drop down list box and select its source property to be VALUE LIST and type these three values in the combo box.
you have docmd.openquery
follow the syntax and write at the click code...Leave a comment:

Hello Andy Briggs,
if you are using any database then, the following solution works well.
In the table (from which you are populating values into the form), create a date column (with some temp name like jdate or dDate or the like) and put the Date value in the table with the above said functions like NOW() or DATE().
Now update this value from table to the respective field on the Form.
I hope this will solve...Leave a comment:

Segregate access database conditionally
Dear All,
I will take a hypothetical example:
I have a consolidated database which has the details all the students from class 1 to class 10 in a school (in Ms.Access)
All the data for all the students is maintained in a single table. (nearly 13 fields)
Now I want to segregate them into 10 different databases and distribute it to the 10 different classess so that they donot have to each others data, database... -
Validate another control based on selection.
Dear All:
Issue: I used a tab control with 3 tabs, named personal details, academic record, Extra curricular activities (ECA):
Each tab has respective controls like option buttons with in a frame, check boxes, text boxes, list box and others.
Like wise for the rest of other tabs. I have placed another control CheckBox (3 in number - each one for one tab)
Reason being: When I click UPDATE command button,... -

Searching a record with special Characters
Hi,
I use DCount function to count the number of entries for the existing customer by name of the customer in the database table.
Table Structure like: CustRegion, CustName, OrdersPlaced.
One of the customers has a name like O'Neil
...Code:Me.lblOrderCount.Caption = "Total Orders Placed: " & DCount("CustName", "backUpData", "[CustRegion] = '" & Me.cmbCustRegion.Value -
I believe, tables will automatically be created in Access Database when you are importing any sheet from Excel based on the parameters given in the TRANSFERSPREADS HEET function.
So it is not the case with the table structure.
I even tried with Import External Data from File Menu in Ms.Access and the error is SUBSCRIPT OUT OF RANGE
Why does this happen...?
Any prompt answer will be app...Leave a comment:
