  • Filter a query, based on multiple lines of text entered into a text box.

I am virtually new to access, I'm creating something to help the business through a project.

I have a table and queries containing thousands of products. I want to be able to apply a filter against the product numbers, using multiple products entered into a text box.

So I want a form, with a text box, where a user could paste in 20 product numbers & the query reads those products and filters to just the records...

    Return Record Matching Latest Date

    Hi there,
I have a table, which has an order number, a comment & a date the comment was added.

Therefore you could have 3 or 4 comments against one order number. All I want to do is create a table via a query which takes my existing table and shows me the latest comment based on the date. So for example, if there are two comments for an order, one done today and one yesterday I want my query to show me only the comment...

  • ADezii, you are a god amongst men! You would probably laugh if you knew how much time I'd spent trying to do that, & you manage it in minutes!
Thanks very much, really appreciate it.

Newbie, If Statement & Run Time Error 424

    Hi,
I'm importing a text file which contains a barcode. Once imported I add a column to the table & copy the barcode into the new column (So far I've done all of this using code).

I want to re-format the new column so that all the barcodes are 13 digits long (some are 7, some are 6 etc, etc). Where any barcodes are not 13 digits long, I want to add leading zero's until they are all 13 digits long. This is where I'm...

  • Newbie; If Statement problem in Access 2007

Hi, I'm still learning, slowly, but hopefully at least getting a little better!

In essence all I want to do is find any barcodes in a field I have in a table that are only 7 digits long & add 6 0's to the front of barcode (therefore making those fields 13 digits long). I came up with the simple following which I thought might work...

    Code:
    Dim x6 As String
    x6 = "000000"
    If Len(AllTitles.[CountDigits]
    ...

  • Refining Results from a Query - Beginner Question

Hi, I'm very very new to access but hopefully I'm learning quickly. I need some help on what I think maybe as a result of me having a little tunnel vision on my database & confusing myself.

An example of what I've done...

    I have several tables e.g.

    Table 1
    Product No.------------Stock Holding
    A1-------------------------10

    Table 2
    Product No.-----------Date Despatched----------Qty...

  • Mike,
You have probably just saved me hours of work, just populated the code into access & it worked. Thanks so much, given me even more reason to start learning as much as I can about coding to help me solve these & other issues throughout the working day. Cheers again.

  • Beginner, wanting a code to import multiple spreadsheets

    Hi
I have no coding experience but am using access 2003 on XP in the hope that I can find some code that will....

Search a folder in my network & import any excel spreadsheets it finds within that folder, putting the data into one large access table. All the spreadsheets have the same layout although for some bizarre reason (I didn't archive them you see!!!) they have different file names.

    I have already...
