I already did, but I found no answer. The specification information at most tells you how the file is arranged but does not go through bytes level and location.

How to identify and represent new file extension with an icon
I have a program that is writing hexdecimal only in a file( random character). Regardless the content of the file, I named the file with *.sse extension. How can I represent these type of files with new icon, so the icon appears with .sse extension instead the default icon. Using visual studio and the operating system is windows XP. -

How to password protect a file in C#
I have been trying to make a program in c# to password protect a file so nobody can open the file if it has been encrypted by password.
What I want to do is that after password protecting the file, whenever somebody click to open the file, it will ask him for the password. What is the best way to encrypt it, Is it by XOR or AES? -
