I would never do this in crontab like indicated
create a single script with
/path/db2profile --> the complete path
execute script with options
you avoid working in sub-shell and loosing connection....

do you have db2 connect installed ? have you tried a simple connect and select to as/400 ?
also something with codepage : try chcp to see the codepage
and the codepage of as/400 db2
