    sorting functionality for gridview

    Hi

    I am having a requirement where i have to provide sorting option for gridview in .net C#. when any one clicks on heading of the column, it should automatically sort accordingly.

    i am not able to get sorting option in the gridview.

      Hi All

      Now i am able to execute my stored procedure.

      I found the exact problem. and it is giving schema name before stored procedure name in command text.

      i removed schema and executed and worked fine.

        Thanks for your reply.

        Ya i am able to execute the same procedure from sql prompt.

        and while executing from stored procedure i am getting below error message

        ORA-06550: line 1, column 15:
        PLS-00905: object SAPNCDB.ENCRYPT _FIELD is invalid
        ORA-06550: line 1, column 7:

        where SAPNCDB.ENCRYPT _FIELD is my stored procedure name

          Hi

          I was struck up with big problem of executing a oracle stored procedure in C#.

          Inputs 1:I am having 1 oracle stored procedure eg. myProc() and this procedure takes 1 INOUT parameter. of type stirng/varchar
          problem description: I am not able to execute this procedure through my C# code.

            my problem was solved by adding 2 script lines in my ascx page.

            and those lines are..

            this solved my issue of postback on any number of time clicks on button.

              i am very much happy to see ur last lines ie.,



              i kept a breakpoint on page load and also at button click event on server side. and when i click button for first time page load is happening.

              but when i click button for second time, page load is not getting triggered. so according to this, and to your point, hope there is something wrong in client side.

                yes what u gueesed is correct. i am using script manager in my user control. as of now my aspx page contains only 1 user control and my masterpage is not containing any scriptmanager and hence totally there is 1 scriptmanager at the time of rendering my webpart.

                suprisingly, i am getting this error only if i use <updateprogress > tage. if i am not using this, i am not getting this error.

                  Hi

                  I am creating a usercontrol in .net and using that as webpart in sharepoint site. i want to make use of ajax in my user control. and hence i added scriptmanager, updatepannel and update progress controls on to my ascx page.

                  on output of the page, i am getting the error message as ......"Script controls may not be registered before PreRender."i need the solution for this error.

                    I am struckup with a big issue. ie., On my Page i am rendering 2 dynamic datalists each has dynamic link buttons.

                    my problem is: i am not able to handle ItemCommandEven t of both the datalists. if i comment one datalist's ItemCommandEven t the other DataList ItemCommand is firing.

                    ie., at a time on my page only 1 datalist itemcommand is firing. but i need both itemcommand events to work.

                      I struck with a problem for Dyanamic Grid View. i am generating a dynamic gridview by custom ItemTemplate. every thing is working except the Page Size. my gridview it not showing records in page wise even i set page size property. where as it is showing all data in 1 page.

                      In my code, i am only considering ItemTemplate. i am not at all considering PageSetting or PageTemplate. but i am setting gridview's page...

                                Thank you, and because of you i am able to use BYTES.

                                Yes i am handling ItemCommand event.

                                Another thing i have to mention is..my appliation is implementation of custom webpart. so there are 2 classes that i am using in my program. 1 is class which implements webpart class and another class is which implements Itemplate for creating custom template.

                                  Hi All

                                  This is my first query in this site. firstly i like to appreciate all the contributors of this site and solutions.

                                  I am having an issue while using DataList dynamically. I am able to bind dynamic itemtemplate and dynamic linkbutton in that itemtemplate and displaying data and linkbuttons successfully. but i am not able to fire click event of the rendered linkbuttons even i registered the click event correctly....
