I don't have the GM862-GPS yet, I ordered it last night and can't wait to get it, BUT, I did research it a bit and found this in reference to your question...

"If you are using the GM862-GPS (i.e. the GPS version of the GM862) then you will not see any output from “print” commands. From my understanding this is because the internal serial port that was used for debugging on the GM862 (i.e. returning of output provided by print)...
