1st apologies on posting email addy. :(
Not able to edit my post, so adding detail here.
You should be able within services to right-click on a service, go to properties, and under one of the tabs see dependencies. Right-Clicking does nothing.
thanks again...

I have a problem with that and a potential solution. :)
Until I d/l ie 7, I could type in a url in ie and go there. Firefox is my default browser. After dl ie7, it started doing that too.
I like the auto update in windows - needs ie. So I will be uninstalling ie and replacing it with a older copy. If it gets me to where I can go to a different url in ie than Firefox, I will repost the results.

You can always (win xp/98) go into the start directory and create a shortcut to the program.
Ex: program located at c:\mystuff\p1.e xe
Then, go to the startup directory (as an example)
C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\ Start Menu\Programs\S tartup
Right-click and create a shortcut -
Name it whatever you want and put the location as listed for the p1.exe but substitute your directory and file name....Leave a comment:

In addition, if, like me currently, you cannot get to the menu (start, etc), then to run a program, you can also do:
WIN key + R to get to the Start/Run command
or
WIN key + E to get to the My Computer Screen
Thanks

The Desktop no longer shows up. As well, Restore, Print, Copy and Paste have stopped working.
When I go into services to try and restart one, I receive the message that the dependency group needs to be started.
Is there anyway to list what services are dependent on another?
